One Sentence on Prayer

I am in the process of reading Philip Yancey's book on Prayer and I regularly bracket statements that make a valid point with me. This morning I have one sentence to share from page 166 of the book. Here it is, out of context and without preface, but read carefully, has something pretty important to say in my opinion.

Regular prayer helps me to protect inner space, to prevent the outer world from taking over.
